Gyokuro (Jade Dew)
Gyokuru (Jade Dew) is considered to be one of the very finest Japanese teas. It is grown in the shade for at least 20 days prior harvest in May. This shading process accounts for higher levels of caffeine, theanine, and chlorophyl. The leaves are steamed immediately after harvest to prevent oxidation, rolled to soften, then aged for a period of time to ensure a smooth mellow flavor when brewed.
Pale green color. Full-bodied but mellow, grassy, and sweet.
Contains approximately 45 to 60mg of caffeine per cup.
Ingredients: Shade grown green tea. Origin: Fukuoka, Japan.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, place away from light in an airtight container.
Preparation: 2 tsp per 6 oz hot water (120-140ᴼF). Steep for 2-3 minutes. Enjoy!
